What should be expected for over $million (just over 2100 SF)? I can hear the builder now, “it went through three hurricanes, it’s FINE”!
More WTF…
The home owner paid extra for extended driveway/parking area for work/horse trailers/RV/trucks to pull them. The brand new paving stones keep cracking (mostly in the area of frequent light auto traffic in front of the garage), after replacing dozens of them, the Sub exclaims that he is not replacing any more of them. The builder says “we’ll caulk any more of them that crack, you’ll never notice”. Long story short a manufacturer Rep shows up, gets out of his truck and says “they used the wrong pavers”. Correction of the problem would entail resetting all pavers in mortar (on properly designed/installed concrete pad) or replacing pavers with stones designed for sand set with vehicle traffic.
That’s going to be a costly fight to get them replaced.
There are bright craftsman out there. LOL
That is correct Marcel, fortunately the home owner has the upper hand on this one.
Are they sure that it was just the one hurricane?
I think she meant 9 square of shingles.
Around here, we call that character.
Why spend all that money just to have them blown off again? Those are known as “sacrificial shingles.”
Work was obviously performed by a typical “Florida roofing professional” and “pasted Code”
What’s worse than only one nail holding the joist hanger to the Band?
Zero fasteners. Zero is worse than one.
No.
Wrong.
Zero fasteners is better.
Much better.
With zero it will slip and fail and be obvious and someone will fix it.
With one (or one tab) it will seem fine until Yo Moma’s Bulky Behind, and her entourage show up, then they all be going down at once.
“I think my deck’s about to fall!!!..”
This condition allows for more better expansion and contraction of the joists.
They used to call it a jump-o-line until your momma jumped on one.
Yo momma is so fat, I took a picture of her last Christmas and it’s still printing.
Yo mama so fat, when she wants her picture taken, she has to hire a home inspector with an FAA part 107. (damn, she big for real).
