Mount a phone holder to your pole. I bought this one a while back and it works great. Once I figured out where it needed to be mounted for comfort and ease of use, I just left it clamped on the pole.

I hold the pole with one hand and use the other to work the phone when I need to snap a pic.

That is a good idea! :+1: Since I wear a carpenter’s 2" tool belt (with a couple of pouches) it works well for me.

Thanks Michael, the pole I bought came with an adjustable rotatable phone holder (screw on type) and a duster. :grinning:

I have the same pole and adapter. I usually hook my Ferret camera to it.

What cameras are you all using?

I bought a pole awhile back and put a faux-pro on it but it just didn’t work for me.

Got the ladder back out and bought a drone.

My camera and phone connect via the NEC function. So both devices need that. I believe wifi enabled cameras may also work.

I use a Panasonic DC ZS70 camera with the image app on my phone to connect via Wi-Fi.

Good for you, Kevin! I noticed that it’s aluminum . Please be careful around those power lines!

I have a different brand (Eye-Stick) that was a bit pricey, but it is made of non-conductive carbon fiber. It’s 30’ high. It also included a 20mp canon Bluetooth camera and pre-installed mounting brackets. So far it has served me well.

I’m curious to know how yours does with a breeze.

If that pole is metal be very aware of power lines, especially on a windy day.

@kleonard I am still interested in purchasing a couple of these from you. Let me know if you are ready.

Got it John, at this point I’m not planning on doing anything with them for a few months.
