Hi. Does anybody have advice on websites like Angie’s List, Yelp, or similar sights? Are they effective? Do they lead to jobs? Is it worth the money and effort?

FYI - Angie’s List to be acquired by HomeAdvisor parent company
Angies List reps told us we won’t be shown until either someone reviews us or we pay to be an “Angie’s Certified” business. But if you’re lonely and just want your phone to ring, sign up, because they’ll call you relentlessly with high pressure sales calls, lol.

Be prepared for them to call you daily trying to sell services. The free listing will help with your website SEO but they are relentless with the calling to try to sell the paid listings.

yes, very high pressure. even more than car dealer sales.
