When the service entry cables fail to fit into place, simply trim the conductors…

Mine has to be a panel in which there were several instances of several neutrals that were spliced together and wired to an old narrow (about 20 gauge) grounding wire, with overfused circuits all over. Could have had up to 60A hit that narrow wire, if I recall correctly. I suppose it would just act as a fuse itself and burn right up in the panel…lol. Pics are archived, I’ll see if I can dig 'em up.

Yes Frank, post a good photo for us. I need 4 more members to post a good electrical defect and we’ll get a voting poll running.

Nice! I’ve seen that on appliance circuits but never at the main

Thanks Barry and Chris!

I need 2 more members to post a defect!

I’m nominating this entry from Jason McCormick’s first post to this board…

Come on folks… I need just one more submission from a member to get the poll started!

OK here is one from a few days back.
Lets call it “Must be the phone Jack”

Here is another one I showed off several months ago.

Think up a good caption.Yes the wires were live in the junction box above.

Here’s a feeder to a garage spliced with no insulation on the splice and no cover on the box. The live 120 volts just waiting there for someone to touch it with their finger. Not to mention several other violations.
