Best/Recommended Inspection Software

Hello Everyone. I am new here and working toward my certification in Arizona. I was looking through the various inspection softwares that are listed. They vary greatly in price and was curious to get some insight into which ones you all use or prefer.
Thank you for any information you give me.

Welcome Scott!

There are a lot of topics discussing this same question if you do a search with the magnifying glass on the top right of your screen.

Each inspector will have varying opinions basically pointing back to you and what you feel your need are.

I personally use TapInspect, but it’s limited to IOS only. It’s simple, user friendly and affordable when just getting started.

Good luck in your search!

I use 3D inspection software. I bought the software some 22 years ago and own it outright. I pay $149.00 a year for any updates, use of the cloud services and support if needed.

I have a sample report on my website if you want to see it.

Everyone loves what they are using and for the most, they think it is the best thing since sliced bread! In my company we use Home Inspector Pro(HIP).

You can test drive most of them. Until you do so, you really don’t know what is going to feel right for you. I use and like HIP. That does not mean that you will. It’s all personal preference.

This is true and why it’s important to find what fits your need when first starting out. I chose mine because it is IOS and all my devices are IOS based. Also, not knowing ho many inspections I would start out doing, I had the option of buying a “lot” of reports. when I first started, it was $125 for 20 reports and they gave 5 “free” reports. The catch is the additional 5, you are not able to used or “published” for clients. Practice reports I guess.

They have since raised the price to $150 for 20 reports. Amounts to $7.50 a report. They have an unlimited plan, but I’m not sure what their pricing is.

When I started my business in 2018, I set my goal as doing no more than 3-4 inspections per week and have kept it that way. So my report purchases have work well for my situation.

tAP INSPECTION IS A GOOD ONE

Some of the software solutions have integrated back office stuff. It’s why I use Spectora. Business in a box. Shrug.

First off, let me say hello Scoot Cook. Hope you are doing well and in good spirits.
Welcome to the InterNACHI message board.
I wish you all the best with your endeavors.

Home Inspection reporting software prices are generally categorized as, you get what you pay for.
I used a business and report writing software called Horizon by Carson/Dunlop. A Canadian duo highly famed and recognized in the North American inspection industry.

As with most reporting software you can try it free, including getting extensions when you use it.

Come to the message board often. Great learning tool.

The very best is Spectora. But the others are catching up.

We have two inspection reports that are free to InterNACHI inspectors. InspectorLogic is the more popular of the two. It was also recently updated. You can get it through InspectorOutlet or directly from our website, https://bestinspectors.net

We also have more advanced software that is a reasonable one-time fee. We don’t charge monthly fees or charge per report.

Also, we never have, and never will, sell your information or your clients’ information.
