I used gasoline to start a fire, once.

It instantly went to vapor and made a bit of noise.

A few minutes later the fire chief and police officer were explaining to me that it was not as wise choice. The call came in as the gas station down the block had blown up. Because of this, they sent three trucks. It was a bit of an overkill for about four wheel barrows full of burning leaves.
