Well thats strange when I was kicked out someone saw to it other than myself to remove my name from this list. Further if members are responsible for looking after their profile there are a lot of members who forgot to take their profiles down when they left and weren’t given any more free memberships, or didn’t renew.
Thanks Nick I give you credit for trying, but you seem to have painted yourself once again into the proverbial corner.
Over 3,000 N. American members change their email address every year and more than 1/2 of them forget to change it in their www.nachi.org/profileintro.htm … every year.
Ray, if they don’t renew, they are deleted eventually by our automated system. Someone could have potentially renewed 14 months ago and still be listed for reasons I described earlier, but again, it doesn’t rely on human hands or InterNACHI staffers.
If a member emails us and quits or if we find out they died or if they are expelled, then we delete them by hand.
The 489 I listed are all members as far as we know… but again, some of them may have died for all we know and could technically be listed for another 14 months after death.
The way our system works is that once a person gets past due, their benefit list begins to deteriorate automatically over 60 days, they get dropped from our search engines, then their access to the message board is taken away, then their password is disabled, then they become invisible, until they are eventually deleted altogether.
We don’t do this stuff by hand any longer. We’re far too big for that.
Like I said Nick it don’t wash. Evidenced by the very fast quick removal of my name from your Registry. You can make all sorts of excuses, the fact remains you have a lot less members than 500!
How many inspections, hours of education, years in business, does
an inspector have to have, before they can go before this peer review
process? or is it open to a novice inspector?**
John how long is a piece of string? Those requirements are only determined by the individuals experience, length in biz, education, so forth and so on.
We could do them for free, have expert peer review from around the world, not have to all meet in one place, and remove conflict of interest of competitors reviewing competitors. We could also use it for training purposes.
Just did quick calculation of NCH’s in my area (on the conservative side):
All were RHI’s. The average is about 7+ years in the HI business, The least is 5 years and up to 15+ years. One gent is a franchisor of, I think, 15+ operations.
what is your point, many of your postings etc have been actually interesting to read. I choose to belong to NACHI, I am probally more qualified than most CAPHI members including NACHI members etc. I have made a commitment to NACHI and enjoy the information and knowledge. What is the issue really. Who is the best, it comes down to the person and who does the inspection ! the end.
