Career navy electrician pursuing electrical inspector certification

I was on the Ulysses S Grant and the Seawolf back in the early 80’s…

That IS interesting. SSN 575 with a liquid sodium reactor instead of pressurized water, as in every other Naval Reactor.

There is a local furniture dealer who has a large collection of vintage kids’ metal lunch boxes with TV, movie and cartoon characters all arrayed on a shelf around the full perimeter of his showroom floor. But he just got one the other day with a submarine on it that at first glance looked like an old diesel boat. He has them way up high, so I couldn’t see it well enough at first to tell if there was a hull number, but I took a photo with my phone and blew it up–it was 575. What are the odds that I would connect in any way with someone who served on that boat?

I think I’m going to go see what he wants for it because I collect just about anything submarine.

I’ve heard about those lunch boxes! We called her the Pierwolf because she was broken a lot! Have a great day!
