How long does your cell phone last you? Mine seem to last about a year then it’s time for a new one.

I’ve had my Nokia 5165 for five years or more I guess.

It's an old work horse and with the lithium-ion battery it lasts about 2 weeks between charges. It is a tri-mode phone and my carrier is switching over to GSM so I'll have to change it out sooner or later. ![icon_sad.gif](upload://nMBtKsE7kuDHGvTX96IWpBt1rTb.gif)

John,

I've got the holy grail of cell phones! Send me $99.99 and I'll send you the secret model number! ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

Just pulling your leg John!! But seriously, what brand phone do you have? I've been through a number myself! Working on a Sanyo now and it appears fairly tough. Have discussed this in the past with others and the hands down favorite are Motorola phones. They drop em, kick em and they just keep ringing.

Ive got an old Nokia 5185 and I went in to do an upgrade and the guy in the store looked around to see if anyone was near and told me to hang on to it cause it would last ten times longer than the new ones. He said the new ones break down all the time, especially the hinged (folding models) I thanked him and left. Ive had it for over five years and it is still going strong.

I have a Motorola I530 that has been dropped from roofs, run over by my truck, fallen into puddles and left in 155 degree attics and has been fantastic…

Yup

Motorola I 530 kick it, drop it off roofs, left it on the roof of the truck and drove away resulting in the obvious and the damn thing just keeps on ticking.

Just got one of the Verizon LG models (top of the line $250.00). I was told that this phone would improve my reception, dramatically. It has. With my old nokia tank phone that would never break, I'd drop 20% of my calls while sitting and 40% while walking in the office. I've had the new phone for 2 months and have not dropped one call anywhere! I've been looking for something like this for 2 years!

Now that’s what I’m talking about. We can’t afford to drop our cell phone calls.

I use a new moto v551.

I really thought that the camera on the phone would not be needed, but I have to say, there was once that I zapped a photo of something that I needed some clarification on, and sent it to a friend and had the answer in about 10 sec. I just sent the photo, and he called me right back. It was great!

Oh, and I too use a 624mhz Dell AXIM x30 that has Bluetooth and Wireless internet....fits in my shirt pocket and I do my reports on it with Inspectvue

Great combo! ![icon_smile.gif](upload://b6iczyK1ETUUqRUc4PAkX83GF2O.gif)

Now I can probably consider dropping the land line sometime soon! So the phone actually saves money in this case.
