Trying to use this downtime to knock out some coursework. Got 2 courses finish and ready to take final exams for roofing and electrical.

These two couses were somewhat intuitive. I’m thinking the roofing and electrical might be a little more challenging. I’m definitely humbled by the amount on knowledge required for this profession.
You’ll get there Brett. Just keep chugging along and pretty soon you’ll be cruising’ along!

Good for you Brett. Internachi courses are great. If you are into a course and miss some quiz questions, go back and review again until you get 100% on each quiz. Then, when you get to the final exam you will have no problem passing it or understanding the material. You can even take the final again. I have done that on occasions since the questions change and it give you another chance to test your knowledge.

Give yourself a pat on the back…Nothing wrong with having high standards…Im the same way…80’ s were unacceptable scores for me…but also we must have realistic expectations for ourselves…Makes for a better inspector…It’s a great way to measure our growth and progress…Always learning and finding ways and areas to improve…Great thing about InterNACHI you can study up, study hard, ask for help and reset that score…

Definitely, it took me two attempts to pass the Roofing and Electrical exams. I’m glad they tell you which questions were incorrect. Makes going back and studying much more effective.
Knocked out another course. Plumbing is on deck.

I just found out my younger brother who is a firefighter in Colorado has been thinking about getting into home inspections as well. Had no idea he had any interest in it.

Took a little mental vacation from the coursework and worked on something that has been bothering me for a while. My home office/extra bedroom. We haven’t really needed an office so it became that room where all the miscellaneous junk ends up. My wife and I spent about 3 days clearing it all out. Ended up with 12 bags of garbage and a bunch of donations. Now I have a good place to study and eventually somewhere to work out of. Here are some before and after pics.
