Do not worry about educating people on what CMI stands for they probably do not care. Let the designation sit behind your name as it belongs.

Correct. You have to defend your marks. There are two ways to end CMI infringement… one of them is to have the inspector infringing on our mark to simply apply for and become a Certified Master Inspector.
A CMI who claims to be a CMI is no longer an infringing.

You have to understand my goal. It’s not to punish inspectors for using a tool (CMI) that works to help feed their families. Not my M.O. I want all inspectors to succeed and earn a really great living.

Just so I can get this right, the way to become one of the most elite professions is for it to cost about $1000 to get into with tools and all, read and look at a few videos on line, become a member of an organization that does not care if you actually do your continuing education or not, just send in the money.
