Cross Conection big time .

Yesterday we did a farm home that has an open well in the Barn . Animals are allowed into this area and there is cow paddies every where . I wrote this up hard and reported it to the local health department . The people and agents can not see that this is my concern as this is not the water they drink . I have told them this is an open feed of pollution into the aquifer and could cause a lot of people to get sick and die just like what happened in Walkertown Ont.

Remember you are always under the gun and the fall guy . Write hard and miss nothing . Will keep all informed on the out come of this . Just think if I had missed this you know who would be the first to be hung.

For information on Walkertown read http://www.canoe.ca/EcoliTragedy/home.html

I also posted this on question of the day . It is too important for all too miss.

Good work Roy! By their stupidity they most likely are contaminating the aquafier. Ask the agents to put in writing that it is not a concern. Don’t let them intimidate you.

Was this a drilled well or bored well (cemment casing)? What other conditions were present? Was this water solely used for the barn? Was there another water source for the house and what type of well was it, drilled or bored?

Thanks

This is a tile well I did not measure the depth but it looked like it could be 30 +or - feet deep . It was a cement casing and I don't think it is sealed below ground so any drainage from the barn could get into the aquifer. There also was no top so a calf or any other stuff could also get into the underground water, system.
I would expect the ministry of the environment will be visiting this place immediately . There are considerable homes in the immediate area that are all on wells . This could lead to law suits big time .
I just spent 40 minutes talking to the purchaser and I tried to get them to understand this is a big concern .
