I’m trying to pay it forward/back by alerting people where we are at in this Nation and around the world.
Watch a Trump rally and tell what he says is good or bad and let’s debate it. Notice you can’t hardly find Trump rallies on DS fakenews … you know the one’s that don’t want anyone to know about the child sex trafficking going on worldwide that Sound of Freedom exposed
Trump has some solid ideas and positions, and accomplished a lot of what he said he would during his first term. His problem is “lawyering up” at every turn to payoff, bribe or otherwise get himself out of trouble (usually) works in the private sector but not once you reach the political levels he has.
Factor in the media’s distain for him (which is largely his own fault btw) and he’s got an uphill battle. No doubt, he’s a pioneer and is the first non-politician to become President which I think is a great thing for the country in general. Traditional politicians have made a mess of this place and it’s going to take more guys like Trump to turn things around (despite Obama giving such inspiring speeches that people faint).
Trump is just so frustrating because he “could” really make an impact but he can’t get out of his own way. But that is just who he is and apparently he can’t change. Reminds of one of my favorite comedians, Ron White’s line about getting stopped for drunk driving: “I had the right to remain silent, but I didn’t have the ability.” Trump doesn’t have the ability to not be Trump. All that being said, he well may find himself moving back into The White House in 2025.
And aside from whether you like or hate Trump, at 77 years old he’s amazingly energetic and mentally with it. The obvious comparison is to our current leader and I’ll leave it to your favorite news station to define his current state of competence (spoiler alert - if you love MSNBC… he’s a drooling old fool and they edit videos to hide that). I do worry about Trump and his weight. While Biden’s brain is mush compared to “The Donald” I’d put my money on Joe in a 100 meter dash.
I understand that many love to debate politics and social issues, but I’ve found that for guys and gals our ages, we know what we know and believe what we believe. Changing our minds is tougher than changing the path of an asteroid. That’s not to say that debate isn’t fun or useful, but I’ll pass on it here. Even though I briefly engaged in a minor debate on climate change in another thread, for myself, I find it more useful and informative to engage on a home inspector forum with home inspector issues.
What would be the point? What it would come down to is my version of the truth VS your version of the truth. Don’t believe that there are “versions” of the truth? Think again.
For instance, Waco, Texas rally, he said, “In 2020, I got the most votes of any sitting president in history. We won the most counties in the United States in the history of our country, many, many, many times more than Biden won, and yet they said we lost.”
That statement is probably 100% true. You probably interpret it to mean that he won the election, right?
But, I interpret it as missing key information information, such as, Joe Biden was not the “sitting President” when he received more votes. And, “counties” do not elect Presidents, states do.
This is a major root cause of many of the problems in our nation right now. MSM is controlled.
