Its not a service that gives my clients valuable ongoing information every month, and in the process helps me book more inspections, and keeps my name in front of them every month.
How many houses per month do your clients normally buy? I mean, why would you want to keep pestering people? You sold them an inspection, it ain’t like your kid married into a rich family. :roll:
What if their friends or family need an inspection? People talk. Would your clients from 2 or 3 years ago even remeber your company, let alone your name?
You’re absolutely right! The We Make It Safer Team respects the consumers privacy and will not sell their personal information or use it in any marketing for junk services and products. They also have an informative newsletter that can be received up to weekly if you want it that often. It gives you a status update on the items you have registered with them to let you know if a recall has occurred. They check the products for recalls and send them out as long as you are signed up with them. And it is absolutely FREE! Isn’t that a great concept?
By the way have you seen the newsletter of the other paid for service that resells the CPSC data to consumers? It is at least 80% advertising with some little blurp included to make the consumer think they are getting something. As long as the consumer does not opt out then they are fair game for more marketing via email and any other method. Would you really want your past clients talking about how you spammed them to death?
I most certainly think that the We Make It Safer Team has the most superior service and it is certainly safe and totally FREE!
Thanks for the update. Boy I sure am glad I didn’t sign up for the “other” service and be stuck with it for 2 years, unable to use this free service, due to some legal mumbo jumbo which prohibits me from doing so.
3… so assuming you didn’t screw up the inspection, why do you feel it necessary to bombard your clients with your *name *every month? Sounds like SPAM to me.
So how does a person get off the Junk/Spam mailing list that you signed them up for, when they get tired of all the crap in their email boxes every month? But don’t worry… they’ll definately remember your name!!!
That is non of your business. Peddle your wares to someone else, you got my money only once. Never again. Those pages were rough TP. After a few wipes, I used the rest to start fires in the fireplace.
That post was correct- I was refering to makeitsafer, not recallchek- if you would read the posts leading up to that one. Its not junk mail. You wouldn’t want to know if your appliances were suddenly recalled due to a fire hazard?? Are you putting all your appliance model numbers into the CPSC manually every month to find out?? Give it up already. You are making yourself look bad! When there’s 1000 inspectors that love recallchek (seperate thread) and about 3 that don’t, I tend to believe that the 3 are arguing for the sake of arguement. You are wasting your time trying to slam recallchek. Its already proven itself over and over again. Sad that you feel the need to keep the dumb debate going.:nah:
