I’d be more likely to take a cup of joe in morning or water or … than someone’s $$, of which I don’t take tips.
It’s the price I quoted for the inspection, that’s it.
I’m sure there are a bunch of us that were touched/moved by someone and decided to inspect the place gratis… or a buck anyway.

Yup a couple of times $20 here $40 there. Several offers for breakfast tacos or coffee as well. I take the money but drink my own coffee 
Yes, I have had several people tip by rounding up the total like if my price was 475.00 they said you did such a great job I made your check 500.00 or a few times they gave me the correct check and then a 20 cash with it and said go have lunch on me…

I was told once when walking a roof with the client standing below, “Don’t fall.”. Good tip.
And a couple times a month people will just pay more and thank me for being thorough or sticking around to answer questions. I would love to get paid in beef sometime, that would be excellent.

For some reason a lot of my clients buy me lunch. I also got $100 once because the Inspection took an hour longer than expected, and people often round the amount up as much as $10 when they only have cash. I’ve had very good clients. Nothing like what Joe’s got, though.

Did a $900 inspection yesterday and got a $100 tip! Sweet! (I was there 6 hours though.)
Got my first tip today! My client had one of my coupons so I gave her 10% off but she added $15 to that.
I got a $77 one on a wind mit last week.
The fella sure did like to talk.
