This house had copper everywhere else, but this was the only place that did not. Does this look like Polybutylene to you guys? The house was built in the 60s. Florida.
Looks like nylon braided flexible water line.

No, it’s CPVC.
The lines look like abrasions caused by the tight trim ring being rotated on the pipe.

Yep, it looks like CPVC from N. MI, too.

The lines are diamond pattern. That’s braided nylon flexible water tube. Braided outer core, solid PVC inner core.
