At this point the educator (even if a poor one) in me now wants to make sure the OP understands WHY this is incorrect and what can happen when it is done incorrectly.

This goes a long way in knowing why someone should not do it…rather than that they shall not do it.

So…anyone ( Home Inspector Only) care to give some education as to why this is inappropriate to terminate this way…LOL…and not you Robert…lol
