Since this is just a local chapter with limited attendance, how will the rest of Florida be involved in this new bill and this new test?

Not what I meant, Nick. This is a chapter meeting (not withstanding the new title of President of Florida NACHI) that is announcing some kind of a statewide initiative. How do the other NACHI members in that state get and stay informed of this local announcement?

Mr Bell - Nick etc.

Some of us would like to come but for more than one reason or another just can't make it.

I feel confident that out of the 1000 or so NACHI members in Fl. some can add to the positive initiatives that we see building.

Don't paint us out of the picture ESP if we can't make the meeting. If we all are to be on the same page lets get it printed. Otherwise we start making comments and asking questions without all the background information thus end up hurting the project.

So lets get some of this out on the net. If you all want to wait until after the meeting OK. I am sure someone will make a tape and publish the content. (Open meeting including NON members)

Remember there is a lot of knowledge out here and knowledge is power

So lets all stay together. If someone has a person agenda to mess someone else over, time to leave that agenda at home.

Remember we are having a fine instructor who might not have done a lot of home inspections. Lets not put her down because of a possible lack of field experience. Remember she is teaching your competitor and replacement. Lets not throw chalk at the instructor. (I have been there and know the feeling)

I am sure everyone will have a good time. Sorry I will not be attending

So just leave all the BS at home - There was too much of it at the last meeting.

New subject

Let me share some thoughts with you all

Nick said something to the effect of raise prices and I agree (gets hungry out here some times)

I vote to raise the cost of NACHI membership for the second year by at least $100.00 We need additional professional services from NACHI and after the first year all of us should be able to afford it.

If the membership does not like this idea then lets put that $100 in the "foundation" and publish the names. (I think we do already)

So lets put our $$ where our mouth is. Might even have an extra charge for MHI etc

Once again have a good meeting

Hope you have a lot of members show up

And lets see some of these great ideas out on the board

We are members too -- (we all sweat equally in the craw space --- unless we are just teaching it)

I see no humor in acting in an Unprofessional manner.

You are a fine example Mr. Bowman.

HI FOLKS,

I HAVE OBSERVED THAT THE REALTORS PERSPECTIVE IS GIVEN OFTEN IN A MANNER THAT SUGGEST THAT WE DO INSPECTIONS TO APPEASE THEM. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS HYPOCRITICAL TO THE INDUSTRY. REALTORS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM THE INDUSTRY! MY BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH GETTING BUSINESS IS THAT THE REALTORS CONTROL WHO WILL BE CALLED. I FIND THAT THE BETTER JOB YOU DO THE LESS THE REALTORS WILL USE YOU.

THE REALTORS SAY THAT THEY WANT TO LOOK OUT FOR THERE CLIENTS. THE TRUTH IS THEY WANT A LIABILITY RELEASE FOR THEM SELVES AND A RUBBER STAMP FROM THE INSPECTOR. I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO APOLOGIZE FOR MENTIONING ANTI VORTEX DRAINS IN POOLS AND POINTING OUT NON GROUNDED APPLIANCES AS JUST AN EXAMPLE. THE REALTORS SELDOM USE ME TWICE;HOWEVER,THE CLIENTS RAVE AT MY WORK AND HAVE EVEN GIVEN ME TIPS AS HIGH AS $150.

WE NEED TO STOP GETTING THE REALTORS PERSPECTIVE AND DO OUR JOB BY GETTING THE CLIENTS PERSPECTIVE.

BOTTOM LINE IS WE NEED LEGISLATIVE WORK TO ELIMINATE THE REALTORS. THIS WILL ALLOW CLIENTS TO HIGHER BY BACKGROUND AND REPUTATION RATHER THAN A SALESMEN AGENDA.

AFTER ALL WE SHOULD BE LOOKING OUT FOR THE PUBLIC - NOT WORRYING ABOUT IF THE SALE GO'S THROUGH. I AM FRUSTRATED WITH THE INDUSTRY GIVING REALTORS SUCH HIGH PRIORITY WHERE THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING. REMEMBER THEY ARE SIMPLE SALESMAN. THE LEGAL WORK IS DONE BY TITLE CO AND ATTORNEYS. WHO ARE WE WORKING FOR ANYWAY!

FRUSTRATED
