Joe, I would certainly hope that the Education Committee, who oversee and validate all NACHI examinations, get to review and approve the exam prior to going live.

and he of course would be correct. But the reason such language would be sent to Gerry is because Gerry has a different expertise as an experienced home inspection educator (not an electrician educator). Gerry would likely then change the wording to “bedroom outlets.” In the same way that Joe T. is an expert in his field, Gerry is an expert in rounding-off questions and answers for exam and quiz purposes. I’m sure Joe T. knows more about 3-phase than anyone on this message board, but a question about 3-phase (other than one testing a home inspector’s mere recognition of it) would likely be outside the realm of a home inspector’s need-to-know. Such a question’s categorization within a home inspector’s realm and it’s weight would be outside the expert’s duties to determine.
Again, this is only a hypothetical demonstration of a very small portion of the work that goes into a question used on an exam. There is much more which I can't type all out, but I just wanted to try to explain the role of a specific expert's audit of some exam questions.

Thanks for clearing the air.
I will look forward to working with the Education Committee.
I am sure there will be very little that will need any major changes.
I do believe, however, that the Home Inspector should learn more about the language used in the field by electricians, and inspectors so they will be able to understand that it will come in handy.
I have plans, when time permits to discuss the role I will play in the education process for Home Inspectors with Gerry while in Long Island on June 19.
Future training considerations where the Dwelling Home Inspector will be called to inspect in the future includes:
Inspecting Solar Voltaic Systems
Inspecting Electrical Vehicle Charging Systems
Inspecting Floating Buildings
Inspecting Closed-Loop and Programmed Power Distribution
