gas pipe ID

This house was plumbed with pex for the water system. There was also two gas fireplaces with what looked like pex pipe. I could not find any markings on this pipe to identify it. I have never seen this type pipe if it is in fact gas pipe.

It certainly looks like standard red dyed pex typically used to designate hot water supply. When the boss put the new stuff on the truck, he forgot to tell them what it was for… Call in the troops!
