[/b]Hey Folks, I’m just getting up and running in the H.I. bizz. Wanted to ask if anyone has a really good list from A-Z that could be used as a guide during each “home” inspection. Any help would be appreciate…and I’m glad to be a new NACHI member. icon_biggrin.gif

Rodney, what software are you going to use for your reports? Most of them have a blank report that you can use? Although any checklist that you start with will be changed many times over.

Dave,

Hmmm? Do you have any suggestions on what software I might use?
I'm just checking into different types now. Appreciate the advice!

Hi Rodney, and welcome to Nachi, you must have missed it as we have a whole section of the message board on the topic of software, and also if you go to our links page you will find many vendors there. My own first choice is Homegauge www.homegauge.com as they have a great product and customer support, and also have been supporter of Nachi, which is something that I do factor into my thinking these days icon_lol.gif

Thanks Gerry! Will check out your recommendation…AND read the message board when I find a few hours. By the way, this has been the first day I’ve asked anything on the message board and the response has been awesome! Bruce Dowd with A & A Home Inspections (& a Nachi member) has been a huge help to me, sending me some 30 pages of a home inspection report.

Thanks Everybody. ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

I’m using the HomeGauge software on the Acer Notebook they are promoting. They are both working out great! Excellent product support for both software and PC.

Hello,

I’m a new member of NACHI and doing inspections in Palm Coast, Florida. I researched many software programs and used a few demo’s. My first choice was Home Gauge. It’s by far the best and easiest to use. The support is outstanding and Russell is a gentleman who goes out of his way for you. I use mine on a Dell Laptop computer. Number 1 in my book.

Hi,

I have contacted all of the software companies I have been able to find. I asked that they send samples of their product for us to have at the Central Florida Meeting. I heard back from eye candy. Eye candy is donating a full version of their software to be given as a door prize at the meeting. I hope to have other companies do the same.
