Good guy who ended up with guns?

Well, he certainly left a trail of thoughts…

The Downward Spiral Of “Ethan Miller”

Just bought my 870 and might I say it is a beautiful piece of weaponry. Definitely deserving of being the shotgun that’ll blow my fucking head off. (As well as others:wink::blush:) it was only $399. Sucks I gotta wait 5 days to get it but hey that’s AMERICA 4 YA! I also found a beautiful AR-15 for only $750 but it was still a bit unaffordable but give me a couple weeks and I’ll have it in my possession. The guns are only the first parts of all the gear I need to gather granted they’re the most important…

Crazy to think my life will be over in a little over two months and that that date will be remembered by everybody as a “Horrible Tragedy” but in all honesty it’s gonna be the greatest day of my fucking life here.

The tragedy is we live in a God-less society whose members value neither their own lives or the lives of others. A society that glorifies sex and violence and crime. A “me-first” society of greed and envy that believes every one should have equal outcomes (equity) with little or no personal effort. A society riddled with members that shirk personal responsibility, duty, honor, or ethics. A generation that believes they should be taken care of as opposed to taking care of others. A social order that believes the lie that, “the ends justifies the means.” If you see yourself in these words the time to change YOURSELF is now. If you don’t see yourself, look again!

Now let’s investigate why the website that hosted his “manifesto” did not report it to authorities.

I had an opportunity to read some of his posts prior to being taking them down. Very disturbing. What puzzles me is and all the comments following his posts. Why didn’t the host of the site or any of the readers alert the authorities? Oregon has red flag laws in place.

I read all of them. He made it very clear what he was going to do and was basically calling out for help. He also said even if he couldn’t get guns, he was bent on taking as many people out with himself as possible. His plans were to also use molatav cocktails and he expected them to do more damage than the guns.

They were even removed from https://web.archive.org/ :-).
That surprised me. That’s unfortunate: the materials themselves are not the harm, and it’s a form of erasure to get rid of them (sure, put them in a labeled box instead).

Some mass killings, like this one, have an obvious in hindsight place where someone might have intervened. Many, not so:

In my opinion, all suicidal people have a manifesto of sorts. Suicide has several stages. Such as thought, making a plan and executing that plan. Many many people live in the thought phase or planning stage for years and years. These are warning signs in which community and access to mental health is failing.

For the record, IMO community, church and other forms of out reach are in decline. Our society certainly has an increasing degree of narcissistic traits. We are behaving like crabs in a bucket.

Now, if you take all of that and boil it down to a gun, then I believe you are just myopic, though understandably frustrated.

Sounds like the brochure for the Burning Man Festival

Burning Man Festival

This part sounds like a Judeo-Christian description of sin. According to the Bible this has been a problem since the dawn of mankind.

A new gallop poll shows that only 81% of Americans believe in God. This poll started back in the 40s and has seen a gradual decline from 98% in 1944 to 87-90% in 2013. It dropped to a lowest point in 2017 at 81%.

The question is, is God fail the church or is the church failing America?

IMO, the question is if nihilism is failing America. Once again? it all sources back to academia and the new religion of secularism.

To further the secularism debate. How secularism can be a form of oppression and tyranny.

Or maybe the product is wrong.

More news:
Firearms are the leading cause of death for American children, according to recently released data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Gun-related deaths now outpace motor vehicle deaths as the leading cause of childhood mortality.

More than 5 deaths per 100,000 Americans between the ages of 1 and 19 were due to guns in 2020, the most recent year for which the CDC has data.

That number represents a nearly 30% increase in firearms deaths among children over 2019, according to an analysis of the data published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

In this post-human world that we’ve constructed, a world where when life’s questions need answering where do people turn to most, organized religion with it’s ancient condemning gobbledegook texts or Google? Without the threat of violence what passes for religion today has no power. Once you understand that the speed of light is actually very slow when measured against the vast expanse of the universe you realize that no all powerful god exists without self deception. We all are sentenced to a short life in a meaningless, uncaring and open-ended universe where the important questions regarding life go unanswered.

“Therefore the sage seeks to satisfy (the craving of) the belly, and not the (insatiable longing of the) eyes.” ― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

This passage reflects a disturbing and troubling mindset. It’s important to remember that words have consequences, and promoting violence or harm towards oneself or others is never a solution. It’s crucial to reach out for help and support during difficult times. Let’s foster a culture of empathy and understanding, where everyone feels valued and supported.
