I to would like to hear the opinion of anyone who has used both. I have used HG for some time and am happy with it. I did download HIP to try it out but have not had the time to fully use it. It was not intuitive to me.
I tried HI but i had already bought HG and i am happy with it.HI looks like a great product, From what i have seen has excellent support .
I wasn’t trying to be rude or anything and I didn’t see a reason to resort to cursing. It was just my opinion that it looked like crap. I realize its just getting started. But again it’s just my opinion.
Brandon, we set you up on the brand new HIP Sites 2.0 which we launched this week. If you have any questions as you go along just give us a call, use live chat, email, the help desk or message boards! Most of the features work similar to the last version but others are slightly different so we’re working on a new set of tutorials.
Robert, here’s a finished thermal site using that theme: http://www.daytonthermalinspection.com/ . Also if you Google : Thermal Inspection you’ll find that the site is #1 on Google (for a dozen other phrases too).
Linas has had that site all of 3 days and stripped it down to start and is spending time helping us test and playing with the new features.
I have been using Homegauge for quite some time. It has everything I need and is very easy to customize.
they have given me the best support of any company I have EVER dealt with. quick response to problems I have (usually due to my incompetence) and they take my suggestions into consideration and have made changes based upon those suggestions.
I am sure there are other good platforms out there and have not used HI but at this point they have not given me any reason to look elsewhere.

Linas, IMO your company name in the header and the footer wording blend in too much with the picture and are hard to read. May want to change it to white lettering so it’ll stand out better.
I have owned 3-D and didn’t like, I have had trials of Palm Tec and Home Guage and am now very happy with HIP. HG and Palm Tec were WWWWWAAAAAYYYYY too expensive for what you get. HIP is far more flexible IMO.

There is not much difference in pricing…$599(HIP)…$845 (HG)…$899 (Palm-Tech). ($250-$300) And all are just as flexible. 3D at $1,099 is the most expensive out there currently.

Price is not an issue for software I will use all the time. I do like HG very much, I never needed much help with it. I did travel to their offices(Business/ vacation) and took a class. It was basic, but good and they are helpful.
I hear so many talk so highly of HIP that I want to know if I am missing something. I have downloaded a copy and it was not intuitive.
If using something ,the other thing never will be.
My two cents:
I’ve used both. HG has the best software, more versatile, Professional looking.
HIP has the best website packages period. Its all about the SEO & HG does none of that.
Currently using HG as softwars & hosting my own site thru godaddy.
I think that would be a good combo (HG software, HIP website).

HIP reports are far superior in look over HG and much easier for clients to navigate with the side index.
HIP is constantly upgrading with superior support.
90% of Inspectors use HIP.

The first is an opinion, the second HG has upgrades all the time and great support. Third, I want to know why 90% of HI use HIP, possibly cost. :p:twisted:

#1 is opinion you are right as it is the opinion of every Client and savy experienced Agent or Lawyer that has seen others.
HG support does not even begin to compare.
Where and who owns the thing anyway as they sure do not share any knowledge here? (prove they have good support that is anywhere near the level of HIP.
