It is 90 degrees with very high humidty and the inside of this house was 75 degrees. This is a 106 year old house without all the newer cold air return and it did a good job. Would even do a better job once the coils and fins are cleaned.

So YES it did.

Thanks,

Rick

It appears the tag has been painted over, top right corner in the back. Or has it been torn off?

couldn’t make out anything on this tag and trying to scrap to see provided no improvement.

I'm going to take some mineral spirits over and see if I can get some better results.

Thanks,

Rick

Rick - I installed a bunch of those “Quiet Line” ACs back in the

1970s. They weren't really all that quiet though. I'm surprised

that thing is still running.

Carrier/Bryant cannot find any info on this expect to drop the leading 3 in the serial number and it's a 1980 model from the X (didn't get a warm and fuzzy from this representative)... so they directed me to a local dealer who confirmed for the X = October and the 0 = 1980. A 2 ton unit.
