HVAC too close to Gas Meter? NEED HELP!!!

I have been looking through everything and can not find documentation about this… what is your opinion???

I don’t know if this is going to help since this is my local gas company requirements.
You can check with your local gas supplier for your area requirements:

Here is what I found:

Gas meters shall be located:

  1. In a ventilated and readily accessible area.
  2. At least 3 feet from sources of ignition (including electrical circuit breaker boxes, meters and receptacles) or any source of heat that may damage the meter for inside installations.
  3. A minimum of 12 inches above ground for outside meter installations
  4. Away from obstructions, such as downspouts and windows.

Now what does this mean? To me is what you are seeing there is somewhat " acceptable" install… Sure maybe not best possible way of having a gas meter installed but I bet it was there before the appliance was installed right?

I say check with local gas co to confirm but other then that it just maybe acceptable.

Exactly as I thought (feared). I will call and update my post.
