Nick isn’t joking. Nine years ago I had a tree fall on me and I broke my back. It put me outta work for several months. Nick Gromicko showed that he cares deeply for his Home Inspectors and I won’t go into detail but the heart of this man is something to be admired. Nick Gromicko and I have been friends for so many years and I honestly believe he is an Angel sent from Heaven.

Nick, if you happen to read this … thank you so much for everything that you’ve done for me and my family. You didn’t have to do any of it, but you did and then some.

I love you man and I am so proud to call you my friend.

What about if one’s spouse broke her leg, Actually busted the tibia plateau, She slipped on the ice in February, she had to have surgery and was immobile for 3 months? I had to block myself out of inspections, Feb, March and April and part of May due to this. It really sucks Bad. Now I’m back to work but it is slow as I had to turn down so many agents who called during this time.
She is still on crutches but can now drive and get around by herself. And of course there is no insurance for this type of thing. And of course through all this I still had bills to pay, vehicle payments, house mortgage, insurance payments etc.

Thanks Nick, that is very kind of you. I don’t know of any of organization that would do such a kind act. I thank the Good Lord I have not gotten hurt in my years of inspecting, but this year my have to be my last. Our market is still going nuts, so everyone is still waiving inspections. I haven’t got a call for an inspection now for over 4 weeks, and then only 1 per week for 2 months. Hard to know what to do, monthly dues to several organizations to keep up with, how long do you do that??

Edward Luke, your website isn’t opening for us. https://firststephomeinspectionllc.com. That could be your problem.

Nick you are a good man. No BS story from me. I’ve made it through tough times, I’ve made it through good times I’ve always supported myself. Shame on people who are asking for a handout on this forum.

If you got hurt on the job and can’t inspect and you have kids that’s different. Some of us pay for our own workmen’s Comp. insurance. Highly recommend it.

I was in that situation just last year - stepped on a nail during an inspection. Within 2 days, my foot became infected and I went into sepsis. After surgery to debride my foot, and a week in the hospital, I was off my feet for 3 months. Thankfully, we pulled through it and survived!

Glad you are back on your feet, literally.

Edward -

you might want to check on your domain redirection. For some reason firststephomeinspectionllc.com is only redirecting on port 80; port 443 isn’t responding. If you take the s off the https, it will redirect fine to firststephomeinspecting.com. If you’re aware of this already, please excuse the intrusion.
