Hi, All

I attend the AHIT Convention To get my credits. I really do not want to attend the ASHI ones for one of the main ASHI big shot was there an he did not impress me he was a little set on him self. I think that ASHI is a little full of it with there high Membership fee want they think about the newbie in the inspection buss.. But I have no I deal way that NACHI want member from all over the USA but they due very little to help with the approved continuing education in the state that require it. An very little advertising in the other part of the usa then NY,FL. Like the Convention in FL. has not been approved but Nick think that we should spend large amount of $$$$ for this with the hope that the approved continuing education will meet the ILL requirement. An Todd Allen No I'm not taking percocets & drinking beer I'm censure that not all member or the ones that want to be member are being look at for one reason or anther sorry you thing this is a joke. I see it as a problem if for the newbie that want to become member for we have to go to other Assoc. for the credit that are need for the state licensing an NACHI membership requirement I'm gald to see that you as a member real do not care about the other member just our self how SAD.

Kenneth, I don’t believe Todd thought it was a joke, a while back he made similar posts and looking back after a few days he re-read his posts and realized what he wrote was under the influence of beer and percoset

Kenneth, I don’t think it is Joke. What Dan said is true.

I am sorry if it sounded otherwise.

That's only once a year though. Your patience for Illinois NACHI CE's is commendable. But don't sell yourself short as a professional and miss opportunities almost every month to get the education you need. It's not the other association's name that should be a factor in your decisions. How are the people in general? You might meet some great inspectors there too. Always keep your options open. ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)

Hi,

I'm not selling my self short. I just think that if you got to pay to get the credits it should be thru the Assoc. you belong to for not someone else Assoc. where the rates high because your not a Member. I due try to go to other training but it is so $$$$ for there are none held around were I live I have to travel for the all the training. I do keep my options open. As far as AHIT I'm a graduate for that school that where I got my training. An I would like to know what Nick mean NACHI's will be free, someone has to pay the speaker, an the room rental. ![nachi_sarcasm.gif](upload://6HQh6KbNiD73gqTNQInjrR2zeJw.gif)

I mean 100% FREE. Just like our other training is. Our 1-day HVAC and Mold courses have always been free. Our 1-day Electrical Seminars put on by Joe Tedesco have always been free. Our mock inspections have always been free. Our online stuff is all free. Our exams and quizzes which are self evaluating and therefore educational are all free. This message board and web gallery are free. Our chapter meetings which typically include a technical speaker are all free. The more free education the better.

NACHI funds it all, but doesn't charge it's members any extra for it.

I’d love to be able to argue with Gromicko on this one, but if the CE is high-quality, available, and free, well…little room for flip-flopping on that score.

Free is good.

I don't care if i have to pay NACHI, as long as I can get the classes.

But until they actually HAPPEN, free means nothing.

And we continue to pay ASHI for our CE's.

Hi,

Thank you Jeffrey that's how I feel. I just try to get everyone to understand that we continue to pay ASHI or some other org. for our CE's. that seam to be a little crazy to me. But even if they get this done it will be a long time before we see anything happen in this area. Where I live there is no training going on it is all up state or way out of state so I have to decide which is worth the $$$$ for me. ![icon_rolleyes.gif](upload://iqxt7ABYC2TEBomNkCmZARIrQr6.gif)
