Bingo.
And agents are going to get fat rich with this program. So it’s going to fly.
Me either. All the other points as well are items which should be addressed
I didn’t see a numbered question in there or even a question mark, so I won’t reply.
Looks like a big fat NOOOO!
I don’t know how to reply to someone thinking out loud. If you have a specific question, ask it and I’ll answer. If more than one, number them please.
#1 question not asked or answered. How much will NACHI pay???
#2 would this make us 1099 workers?
Any advances on the health insurance?
Nick?
Not quite, but good try.
What do you have to put in Nick’s pricer to get that fee?
Nick I have a valid question on this, suppose I have an agent that contacts us directly to conduct one of these. Do I have to steer them towards InterNACHI where a name will be drawn out of a pool, or can we market these ourselves standalone? IE can we market this as a free prelisting program and to contact us, or do they have to always contact InterNACHI?
I was wondering the same. Would we set up the inspection ourselves and then submit the information to InterNACHI kind of like we do with the buy back program or would the agent set it up through InterNACHI with some kind reference field for which inspector they are using who would then get reimbursed?
I will keep my eye on this thread. Way too many questions to number at this time. Just some advice for the newer inspectors, don’t bank on this program. Stay tuned.
There are so many hurdles and variables in order for this program to have some teeth.
But hey Nick, keep that mind turning. If anyone has the resources to launch such a program and make it sustainable, it’d be you.

Only if you wanted the money to go to you personally instead of your inspection company. I presume your clients pay your inspection company not you.
You’re in the town with your agents and you know your schedule. We aren’t and we don’t.
Following …Following…
InterNACHI is only going to pay for reports uploaded to our system and linked to from the agents website. We need that so the agents can get rich from the program. That’s how it’s going to fly… by allowing the agents to get rich from it.

Who answers all the questions from the multiple clients once 20 or so people have the report in hand?

If the inspector is expected to answer all the questions, do we get compensated?

Would the realtor get to pick their favorite inspector (Internachi member) or do they have to roll the dice?

Would the seller have the option of not reading the report for disclosure (or lack of) purposes?

Would the buy back go hand in hand with this?
8 ) Would Porch or any other entity receive any client information (Whether they got the house or not) in order to contact the client for any purpose?
Using Nick’s price calculator I would be charging more than $100 higher than competitors in the area.
Fellas, run your own calc. and see what you get.
I’m assuming the inspector is going to be thrilled to have a potential home buyer in his/her own market call. So the inspector. At least 19 of those 20 aren’t going to buy the home and so they’re going to need a home inspector soon.
No. We’re already giving you the customer. Why would we compensate you for giving you work?
Like our Owens Corning program, inspectors get paid by direct deposit immediately. Here is a message board thread showing how we got the speed down from about a month to less than a week: Have you all been receiving your check$ from our Owens Corning project promptly? - Roofing Inspections - InterNACHI®️ Forum
Agents have a lot of say in referring inspectors to their sellers.
Any seller with that mindset likely won’t agree to have his home pre inspected. Not a scenario that would ever come up. And hiding from problems until they are detected just before closing is a way to wreck a sale.
Probably not but I sure wish all the insurance companies would prohibit it because InterNACHI’s insurance company would then get all their inspectors: www.nachi.org/insurance . I can only hope they all have a problem with it.
Yes. For free: www.nachi.org/buy
InterNACHI is the client. I can’t think of any way Porch could help but if I do, I’ll post here about it. I’m open to suggestions.
