I didnt realize that was what he was implying, but totally!
I really don’t remember because I didn’t work for SkyTec back then because I was just too busy with full home inspections, but I think they were paying $85 and it was W-2 money as opposed to 1099 money so… I was never gonna be interested in working for anyone for any price if you know what I mean.
There are still inspectors that get referrals from insurance agents charging 75 for a wind mit, and $100 or so for a 4 point. (less than $175 for both)
I promise we’ll be paying north of $100 for a wind mit. And we also are fronting a couple million dollars so that we can pay instantly, just like we do with the Owens Corning contract.
This is awesome!!! I’m in Deerfield Beach, South Florida I’d love to do some of this job!
Great news!!! How and where do we sign up? I’m in Charlotte county but service Pinellas to Naples.
I’m looking to move to Florida and would love to be able to get involved with this to get me started ! How do I sign up and what all is required to be able to do inspections in Florida?I’m from PA. And would head down by myself because I’m single man .
Is there anything else needed to do to sign up, other than be cpi certified and the wind mit certification?
Any form? How do we get notified?

Congratulations on the contract!
Is there any word yet on when the application process will open for the homeowners?
Great work getting NACHI involved in the MySafeFLHome program, does the marketing department have any new designs for MySafeFLHome marketing materials? I would definitely buy some door hangers or yard signs advertising a free inspection and the $10,000 grant if the marketing materials become available.
Also, I was able to make a spreadsheet of eligible homes with data from Florida, I think I just did Palm Beach county so far but I do have the data already for the other counties. I’ll say that the $500,000 cap on insured value really takes down the eligible home count in cities like Boca Raton, I wonder if that cap will be adjusted.
Hey Nick,
Chris Bates for NPI corporate said you could use some help. I am very interested, CPI already and have several years doing wind mitigation through interNachi certification. Living in Miami, I have no issues traveling to R3 or R 2.
