The Right likes to argue ideas, which is a good thing. “Woke” is when you no longer argue and personally attack anyone that disagrees with you. I will admit that Trump has a bit of woke in him. However, his idiosyncrasies are mostly just tolerated on the Right. The majority of conservatives are the same people they have always been.
Yet, you are heavily influenced by the extreme right and their views on the meaning of “woke”. Do some research, it has nothing to do with what you’re saying it means. The term was redefined by the MAGA right to describe anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
That is also every bit as oversimplistic and inaccurate.
Woke once had a gentle touch with a good hearted meaning. It was the left who migrated from simple awareness and understanding to bashing and canceling. The left took it from kindness to control. It was white progressives that ruined it for everyone. Same thing happened to BLM, once a hashtag for awareness that evolved (or devolved) into a Marxist power struggle, by mostly whites.
“Woke” is a synonym for “idiot” so, yes, it is justifiably used quite often by the Right to describe the Left. <harrumpph!> But, on a more serious note, woke is characterized by its tenants fanatically exercising the politically-suicidal practice of kicking anyone that disagrees with them out of their tent. Republicans have been the big tent party of late, with Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr. fully welcomed into this administration as just two examples. MAGA is certainly not woke.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reassuring Republican senators that he will back certain pro-life policiesif the Senate confirms him to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Gabbard’s pivot began with her sharp criticisms of Democrats. She has since echoed pro-Russia conspiracy theories, expressed skepticism about abortion access and questioned the value of spending money on climate change initiatives. These changes signal her departure from the progressive platform that initially brought her to national prominence…
Her new positions may attract some conservative voters, but they also risk alienating MAGA supporters who question her ideological consistency.
Of course they were, Trump had already lost one of his picks and wasn’t about to loose another.
Also, the information I posted above shows that they both twisted their ideology concerning abortions into a pretzel simply to gain votes. And the woke right took the bait, hook line and sinker.
God uses everyone, believers and non believers. I think Tulsi is Hindu, but I could be mistaken. I really don’t care how she came to the right conclusion. I’m just glad she arrived.
