Thank you, Frank

Thanks Frank and it is something to think about.

Look what comes up when I google my own name.

How did that get in there?

Totally agree…It’s unfortunate that these “posters” don’t understand the negative impact they have with their non-inspection related posts. Soon enough my membership will expire. It’s too bad that all my posts will have to linger around for awhile.

It’s a sad day when you realize the association that everyone once desired, turns into such an embarrassment that it’s most helpful and knowledgeable inspectors no longer want to participate in the furthering of the inspection industry.

Truly sad…as the economy falters, so do the morals of associations and other businesses.

Vindictive Schmuck comes to mind.

Jim stated:

Someone said to him…

Now that is quite ODD Jim-----:stuck_out_tongue:

Of all the words in the English language available to Google and they just happened to use those words…

You don’t think someone is BS’s you by any chance do you?-----—

I think there is a tint of manure in the air. Yes, indeed.

Unless that particular inspector raised those kind of questions in the realtor’s mind…

In that case, he has more problems than just a message board.

No…you think so?------*—

I google my name and I get some dead almost-rock star:mrgreen:

You should try it on YouTube.

My name gets a dead comedian for the first few pages.

Jim,
Make fun of me all you want… call me names…I stand by my statement…

I am sure that you have NOT noticed but I have stayed off of this message board for a long time because of all of the unwarranted friction and negativity that has been put on PUBLIC display.

In case you did not know it the Google / MSN “spiders & Bots” pick up these threads and negative comments.

 • They are then on PUBLIC display for the rest of time!
 • When a prospective client Google’s YOUR NAME and NACHI you would be absolutely floored as to how much TRASH comes up!

One extremely negative and slanderous thread had 16,000 “hits” on it and I personally lost an inspection over a client who “Vetted” me and came across this slanderous thread.

 • I may have lost the business of a Real Estate company that has used me, and other local NACHI inspectors for years.
 • As President of the New Hampshire State Chapter I received several phone calls and E-Mails from our members who told me that they were also losing jobs and their Professional Reputations were being harmed because of these types of slanderous threads!

The bottom line is…. We / NACHI as an association of Professional Home Inspectors do not need nor should we continue to tolerate threads that are going to harm us ALL as Professionals.

We should keep this in mind when we post for “The World to see”!

Huh?

Here’s NACHI using a picture

Do a google image search for “tubgirl”.

You had to be fast. The post was made…then deleted…on 5/18/08.

In a nutshell, a member received a terribly vulgar and abusive message attached to a “red box” signed “Love, Mom” and blamed Frank. Frank denied the charge and insisted on proof. The member requested this proof from Chris Morrell who then posted and provided the proof that it was from Frank, copying the entire message in all of its flaming vulgarity.

Frank went ballistic and, after a few of us (including me) went to bat for him, Nick had the post “outing” him deleted (along with the entire thread) for it contained the vulgar words and abusive message (from the anonymous red box) that was very, very not appropriate for the message board.

Frank will not deny this. Too many folks have copies of the email transactions involving this post.

I am sharing this information for one reason…and that is for you all to consider these factors when reading from these people how important it is (to them) that “others” be censored.

For instance, after the threads I that I had started revealed some of the embarassing “happenings” behind the scenes at NACHI…Frank led a minority effort among ESOP members to have me forever banned from posting anything on the message board. This seemed very hypocritical to me after having helped bail him out of his “Love, Mom” scandal.

It’s like proponents of licensing who (as most do) see licensing as something that is necessary “to control the other guy”.

If I know Frank, he will consider this post to be “slanderous”, too. Remember…slander, to be slander, must be untrue.

No Jim…… I do not see this as “Slanderous”…… I see this as a sad and pitiful attempt to embarrass, humiliate, and discredit ONE OF YOUR “FRIENDS” AND ONE OF YOUR STAUNCHEST SUPPORTERS!

 • I will say this…… YOU sure know how to burn bridges!

I guess that we will just have to agree to disagree unless you take this to another level.

What a sad, sad day for you… for me… and for NACHI!

I always wondered what happened to Frank. The sad part is, he is a member of the ethics committee. How many more ethic committee members will we find out has no ethics? Amazing, simply amazing!

Here is the post, as it was copied to an email that was sent to me by the author of it:

I have used some strong language to make a point in my posts, I admit…but I have never used language like this.

I think it is extremely hypocritical of you, Frank, to call for moderators and censorship when you have developed the reputation that you have with your famously flaming fonts and your vulgar and obscene language, spewed in anger, at various members at various times.

There have been official complaints filed with the ESOP Committee by members regarding your use of the message board…and you think that you should be appointed as a moderator.

This is a great example of how those who favor censorship would choose to use it.

I am also insulted that you should suggest that I somehow allow our friendship to be a reason to silently stand by and allow you to further an agenda of censorship of the message board at the expense of others, when I and so many others have stood by you when the crowds were rushing the castle with torches and pitchforks to silence you.

At least Dale is honest in the fact that the only way he can get business is to hid behind licensing, and not get out there to promote himself.
Typical licensing junkie, if you can’t make it on your own, then by law, reduce your competition, and all will come your way with little or no effort on his part.

Pathetic, competition is good, keeps everyone honest.

Hey jackass…give me a call at 602.402.5305 if you have something to say to me without hiding behind your f-ing keyboard…

Hmmm…doesn’t look to me like Dale is “hiding” behind anything.

Seriously, he is simply honest enough to state that his law is good for him, and there is nothing wrong with that.

If you are a member of PHIC, and every newbie needs to pay you $150 to ride along until he gets his quota to get his new license, you would love your law in PA. If you wanted to restrict your competition in Washington and these guys are successful in adding WDO to the SOP (requiring an additional license and mandatory E&O to wipe out the part timer), you would like your law, too. If you are a newbie looking for instant credentials to make it appear that you are as qualified as the old timers in your market, you will love your license, too. It goes on an on…but the point is this.

While these laws are definitely good for certain special interests who craft them to be that way…they do nothing for the consumer, the profession, and the average inspector.
