Main panel minimum height from floor?

NEC from what I recall.
Canada: Under no circumstances should the operating handle of a circuit breaker of a panelboard installed in a dwelling unit be positioned more than 1700 mm - 5’9" or less than 600 mm above the finished floor level

Morning, Jim. Hope this post finds you well.
I think you maybe mistaken. Stateside and Canada have minimum panel installation height requirements. 4" feet stateside. 600 mm or 23.622" in Quebec if I am not mistaken.

No such requirement in the NEC panel can sit on the floor.

The 4 foot minimum must be a local amendment. Certainly not an NEC requirement. Some panels could not meet the minimum and maximum heights at the same time.

Thanks, Jim.

I stand corrected.

Then go back and DELETE all your BAD information before someone takes your false information as fact!!

Why would the panel be falling?

The article at your link is terrible. Full of nonsensical wording and misinformation. It appears to have been written for the sole purpose of fitting in as many keywords as possible. It should be removed from the internet, lol.

Here’s just one ridiculous quote from the article…

“If you have an existing 200 amp electrical panel, you should upgrade it. Upgrading an existing panel will not solve the problem. You should look for a more expensive model.”

That article keeps repeating the same information several time and then it contradicted what was said previously. It also has blatantly incorrect information about the NEC requirements like about the requirement for a platform. It is worse than some of the YouTube installation vidoes

You’re correct. That article is full of misinformation and should be removed. And they claim to have 25 years of experience in the electrical industry, apparently another lie.

Here’s another crazy statement.

electrical panel … You must also install it on a concrete slab at least two feet higher than the finished floor.
