Man! It's Hot!

It was 105° again today in Austin…23 of the 26 days so far in July have been above 100° and no relief in sight. August is typically our hottest month so I’m not looking forward to the next 4-6 weeks. Century old heat records are being consistently broken and our nearby Lake Travis is at its 4th lowest level ever, 44’ below its normal full level. This "exceptional’ drought as the NWS calls it started in Sept 2007 and looks like it will drag on until El Nino helps us out some whenever that might be. We are in a world of hurt here.

I feel your pain there Mike, 68 and light rain here and it won’t stop raining.
We see the sun as many times as you see the teperature below 100. :)

Time to cook the eggs on the hood Brian, at those temperatures.

Stay cool my friend. Somehow!

Wow, I feel for you Brian. I see tomorrow it’s getting up to 113 in Phoenix. Stay hydrated.

You know…here I am B&M’ing about the heat and I promised myself I wouldn’t do that since seeing a photo of a close personal acquaintance in the shade under a canopy in the Iraqi desert next to a thermometer reading 128°. We really don’t have that much to complain about I suppose.
