Found this nest in an attic in Michigan. First time I’ve seen a nest this big. First glance made me think a dude was up there in a ghilly suit.

European starlings like to make big grass nests in the attic.

Almost looks like a paper nest. You sure it was grass/straw?

We have bird nests in attics similar to that around here, they keep bringing in and dropping material till you end up with a mountain of nest.
I wonder what the added R-value is in that area.
