link only contains (and only ever contained) our English-speaking members. www.FindanInspector.US and www.InspectorSEEK.com are also reserved for English only (mostly U.S and Canada) although we have strong representation in some 40 countries now.
An accurate count puts it at 10,070 but staff has been busy with the convention and got behind on membership application processing. They'll catch up now, so I expect this number to be over 10,300 by mid week.
You are not counting all of NACHI/InterNACHI (the first word in the first post of this thread) but rather only English-speaking only, NACHI only, visible only members, in the Featured Inspectors link.

"Well what we have here are many different types of membership, ya see. So really the count can’t be made, but I do know it’s over 10,000 and the waves of people are drowning our staff. Just today we had 50 people join. The answer to your question is a hard one, did I tell you we had over 600 people at the convention but I saw waves of people not register? That far exceeds anything anybody has done in this business. Did I tell you that we are starting a chapter in Iraq? With them having a free elections courtesy of Mr Bush, will more then double the amount of NACHI/INTERNACHI members we have now. What that is I’m not sure but it’s over 10,000 members strong. I hoped I answered your question, Thanks.

There are many reasons we can't list everyone. Here are some examples:
1. Some members don't speak English so there is no reason to list them in an otherwise English written webpage/site/search engine. With InterNACHI in 40 countries, this portion will continue to increase.
2. Some members are not ready to be in business. They joined NACHI to help them as they prepare to enter the business but are in school and not yet ready to accept work.
3. Some are not inspectors. For instance... some of the speakers at our convention are members but don't perform home inspections and so don't want on certain sites. Gary Johnson, the man who is most responsible for putting together the convention for instance... we all know he has been a member of NACHI for years... but you won't find him in Featured Inspectors link or FindanInspector.US or InspectorSEEK.com
4. Some don't want anyone to know they're members for some kind of weird political reason. Canada is an example of this where only half of our membership is visible.
5. Some are retired but love NACHI so much that they maintain their membership.
6. Some are members that are not licensed in their state and so by state law cannot be on certain sites. Texas is an example of this where state law requires a TREC # on all advertising, even internet.
7. Some are employees of members who are also members, but their employer... who insists they maintain NACHI membership, also keeps them out of the public eye (wouldn't want them to get any ideas about going into business for themselves ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif) ).
8. We cannot technically support some languages yet.

Chuck,
With all the rebuilding we can be on easy street with the phased new home construction and small commercial construction taking place. And just think about it, Uncle Sam is paying for the rebuild. Do you recall them $2500.00 hammers? ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif) Let's see, average new home inspection at $250.00 with official government markup of X100. MY GOSH, you can make $25,000.00 per average 2000 Sq. Ft. structure!!! MAN OH MAN!! I'm calling Al Qaida Airlines now for my ticket over!!! Only have to perform 2 X 100 days inspections to be a millionaire, WOOOHOOO!!!

Sure, I also heard the country is safe now, wait 44 dead trying to vote. I’ll stay here, unless I can do an inspection with a gun.
Back on topic here, so we have more members not listed then who are listed. We also have more members not listed then ashi or nahi have in combined members. Wow were good.
See how I get when I read the ED's post. Back to my corner.
