Nathan & Dominic: Does HON reveal or sell our client's information to alarm salesmen?

I called Kevin and just got off the phone with him. He promises not to sell your client’s data… ever.

Some of your client’s data will end up in the hands of alarm system salesmen, but only AFTER your client clicks on an alarm system ad that could be placed inside the newsletter.

So this alarm company could be Nathans…correct?

I’ll ask it of any vendor that collects our client’s data. I think it is a reasonable question to ask.

And what data will end up in their hands once a client clicks on an ad? Will this give the advertiser rights to start sending emails/calling my client?

No, it is Nathan’s. That’s what Kevin told me.

But your client’s data isn’t given to Nathan unless your client click’s on Nathan’s ad within the newsletter. If I’m wrong, Nathan, Dom and Kevin can correct me here.

So, my conclusion is that I don’t see anything wrong with this HON program.

Dom should be answering these questions, not me… but yes. Presumably though, your client wanted that communication, otherwise he/she wouldn’t have clicked on the ad.

Client confidentially is critical, if they want to release information fine, BUT I will not in anyway release any of their information, THAT IS A PROMISE to all my past and present and to be clients!

So potentially this is another portal that can feed alarm leads to Nathan.

Jim

Just because they click on a ad does not mean my client wants to be contacted by a third party. If they want to follow up further after reading the ad my clients will call or email. If what you say is true then in my opinion the statement Nathan makes inspectors add to their contract should also be required by HON.

Nick, so you are concerned that some information might go to another entity. Well, from my standpoint, you have allowed the worst spammer of all time to remain a member and continue to use NACHI Member information to spam our members, to report our members to the BBB and ignore every single request to cease and desist.

Sorry, but until you clean your own house of this human garbage, Aaron Wise, you should not be calling into question the likes of Dom and his business ventures. A simple email would have answered your questions. SHAME.

Indeed looks that way. The last thing I want is for my client to get 15 phone calls from multiple vendors because they simply clicked on ads to see what’s offered at a discount.

It is my understanding that it is the CLIENTS choice, not HON’s, Nathans, Dominic’s or any others. They would do it by clicking on an advertisement in a newsletter.

Stephen, we do not give out members’ email addresses. Vendors find them on the 4,500 websites we list you on including: www.nachi.org/directories.htm

Yes, as it is for any advertiser in the HON newsletter. There is nothing wrong with Nathan advertising in a newsletter IMHO.

After speaking with Kevin by phone, that is my understanding as well. And that HON will not sell your client’s data. I would love Dom to confirm by posting on this thread.

You’re right. There is nothing wrong with Nathan advertising in a newsletter. But there is alot wrong with HON releasing client data to Nathan just because they clicked on the ad to see what special discounts exist. Do you not see this Nick?

That is the curious part. If you spoke to Kevin O’malley, why do you need confirmation from Dominic? Neither one has either represented, mis-represented HON on this board.

Billy, what are you not getting about this? The client chooses. Nothing is sold, fed, given, presented or otherwise transferred to Nathan, or any vendor.

I very seriously doubt it works like that Billy.

I would think the only client information given to an advertiser will be from the client typing it in themselves after they have clicked on & read the ad.
