I also retired early (55) from a full time job of 30+ years, but, I prepared 5 years before retirement by taking evening home inspection courses from college and as Jeffrey J mentioned above, reading posts and more posts and then inspecting part time all while still working at my full time job. I am still reading posts…

We have everything you need to be a successful home inspector in PA. I grew up there, and ran a home inspection business there for 12 years.
You’ve gotten some “good lucks” here. But Jefferson said that the harder he worked, the more luck he had. So, I recommend:
- working on the PA state requirements;
- working on the 15 Step Checklist at 15 Steps to Become a Successful Home Inspector - InterNACHI®; and
- working on the free, online Master Class for Home Inspectors, which teaches everything you need to run a successful home inspection business, including live coaching sessions.
