He has two leaky areas within a 10’ span, poured concrete foundation wall, finished basement, a little drywall removed, can see vertical crack in one area so in the other area, cannot be sure of exact problem (s)… can’t see it lol.
Homeowner says a few words, received several estimates, one was $7,000 for an interior water diverting system which would NOT have stopped the water from where it actually enters into the basement… if you don’t stop water you may get some, a lot of mold

Here outside, somebody previous dug BOTH areas and slapped some tar on wall and above grade and put same soil back, no hydraulic cement, no visqueen, no gravel. Can see the one crack, and some other openings…the other area I could NOT tell, see a crack or rod hole… however there are openings ABOVE grade in this area…

Had there NOT been 2 1/2 hours between us, i would have went over there and given them an estimate AND, after being there and seeing the above grade openings, would have done a water test with a hose before writing up the estimate to… see/determine IF part or all of their problem aka, where water was actually first entering ABOVE the wall, above grade.
We did do a water test before he went to work… yes, he got water in within a minute or so when i ran the water against the opening/crevice around pipe and up higher where deck is so, TWO part problem, all openings must be found and sealed to prevent further water from entering and likely causing mold inside.
If they, like others had opted to install an interior system… water would continue to enter in both areas, oh yes indeedy, but this homeowner was having nothing to do with the usual bs from the interior dorks
