Shouldn’t doors between the House and Garage should be Fire Rated?

So actually it could be any of the answers if they were 20min doors.

Older homes used hollow core doors with galvanized steel sheathing nailed in place. This was an acceptable standard, and is still accepted for older homes. Where is that answer? It goes to Kevin’s point, exactly

In many towns up my way, there is a code violations check performed prior to the transfer of ownership. Based upon the vintage of the home, the AHJ does not require the door or configuration to be changed. So, yes, I would say that to the fire marshall and building inspector it would be considered acceptable.

We're talking about original equipment. Are you stating that it must be changed, Joe; or was this a rhetorical question?
