Rile Roof Damage Post Hurricane Milton

Hi. I have an older tile roof that sustained damage, I believe, from 100mph+ winds during hurricane Milton. I understand that corner cracks are typical from wear and tear, but most of the cracks go above what I would consider normal wear and tear, exposing the underlayment.

I want to upload some pictures for you experts to look at, but I don’t see an upload option. Yes, I am brand new to this site. Thank you in advance.

Cracks that are at the lower couple inches are pretty typical, and don’t usually lead to any issues. But if the cracks are above the overlay of the tile underneath it, then they should be repaired or replaced.

If you have exposed underlayment, then those ones should definitely be replaced.

Here is a quick article:

Have you tried a simple ‘drag and drop’ in the reply box?

Copy and Paste also effective.

Does the forum allow photos uploads from non-members?

Good article from an authoritative source.

Good point, I’m not sure. Paul if you’d like to email me your pics I will try to upload them for you. See email in signature

Possibly another fly-by post. :man_shrugging:

Can I upload the pictures in this email thread? BTW, the link you sent to the article isn’t showing in my email. Thanks again for being so helpful.

Email me your pics at dfetty@fhiaps.com or info@NaplesBestInspector.com and I will try to upload them to the forum on this thread for you.

I believe I’ve seen other non-members post photos but only one per post.
