A client has asked me if I have ever heard of Royal Sovereign shingles manufactured by GAF Materials Corp.

I have not, but I am hoping anyone that has come across these shingles and the manufacturer, can give me an assessment of them and how they fair.

Thank you, ![icon_smile.gif](upload://b6iczyK1ETUUqRUc4PAkX83GF2O.gif)

Guy, these are fairly common, I believe you can pick these up at the Home Depot, I would also check GAF’s web site icon_wink.gif

Down here in FL they are selling those even at Publix due to our still many roof needing repair…I personally used them on a rental I have and had no complaints/problems/issues. If you have an excess amount you might want to buy and hold them…if predictions are accurate they could be worth more than gold if we get a couple storms again icon_eek.gif Home depot and lowes stocks a ton of them or atleast tries to!!

Thanks guys!

Are these shingles asphalt based. I heard the acrylic type are not very good and do not hold up well even after a year.

How do they compare to IKO shingles.

Thanks Again!
