Just wondering who’s using what for software. Why do you feel what your using is the best or worst you’ve ever worked with? icon_question.gif

I’m using the ITS software. Do not like it.

The built mail feature is the pits.

You can not email the report, only some sections.

There is little to no customization.

Info does not easily flow through to different sections.

I'm going to try http://www.reporthost.com . The first 15 reports are free to NACHI users. But I can not say Yea or Nay on it right now.

I was under a time crunch to get the report SW and now I'm paying for it. Several have demos you can d/l. Get the demos, do a inspection on your home and try the reports out.

Been using InspectVue from PVsoftware since day 1. Extremely flexible, easy to use, beautiful reports… I could keep going but won’t get a demo of it and see what I mean.

Ditto.

PV rocks! Clients love it>> agents love it>>>> I love it.

Lorne Stiener & Keith Swift are always improving the software.

Funny cuz it was the best thing out there in the first place. Only 3D can come close. And in my opinion it is not even close.

Just my wooden nickle.

Hey all…

I will be purchasing new software in the next few weeks and have already downloaded trial versions of many... I would really like to see some response to this area for opinions of what software you guys are using? Pro's and Con's...

right now I have demos of Inspect Vue, 3D, PalmTech, HomeGuage & eye candy...

My old software, franchise proprietary was a combination checklist and narrative... I have read where most prefer the narrative over anything else...

If anyone is using 3D... what version/package... what about this Office Manager stuff... and are you using the pocket version yet... I do not have a palm or similar but am seriously considering... have a tablet at this time....

Please feel free to express your opinions... this is a big purchase! ![icon_confused.gif](upload://qv5zppiN69qCk2Y6JzaFYhrff8S.gif)

software that I have written myself in microsoft access.

I have been programming in ms access for 12 years, so it kind of made sense to write my own.

I downloaded about a dozen home inspections software demos and then took what ideas i liked from each and a few of my own.

Home Gauge is right at the top of the list with a few select others. You can try a 30 trial version. As with any software that is narrative based, the comments will require editing to fit your individual taste and style of reporting. Home Gauge is ver flexible this way.

The reports are HTML based and therefore, there is not download for agents and customers on dial up. The photos come out fantastic. It is desgined to run on any windows based computer but you will be most efficient using it with a tablet pc. ACER C110 is light, durable and only about $1600.

The support that HomeGauge provides is top notch. I haven't had many requests but I have never had to wait. They always answer their phone during business hours.

Some of the con's are: It is html based. The formatting of the report is not entirely up to the software. The viewers browser controls partly how the report will be displayed. This the trade off to having PDF files that are 2-3 MB or more to download. That is the only downside item I can come up with at this point.

Financing. They will allow you to lease the software for $55 per month which includes a host of other web services including: online calendar, reports hosting, agent information, customer information, ect.

By the way, I did test drive PV software and thought that it was great. I was just not in position to shell out the 800- 1000 dollars or I might have purchased that one.

Good luck guys.
