What would we call the attic venting on this italianate manse?

Not sure if I understand the question. Is there an attic?

I guess if you match it with this picture, it would be a frieze vent.

This is part of the attic and there are just a few more. Flat/hipped roof with membrane and no other venting. Just wanted to know how to call it.

IMO… it’s formal name, (depending on the exact method and design of framing), is a “Cockloft” vent…

It’s not commonly mentioned in Residential, but is very common with Commercial properties…
