There is nothing supporting that top plate.
You do not “attach” a window to anything at the top.
I see two CMU’s supporting it.
OK, so you’re saying what is described as the Header is actually at the exterior of the CMU’s, not resting on top. Correct?

Lol yeah. I guess it’s easy for me to see it in the photos since I was there.
I did learn something though. An evaluation of a photo isn’t always the best. Mr. Anderson chewed some *** about this other day and I agreed with his enlightenment but now I really see what he meant.

The header beams are deflecting.
not a big issue to replace them if you know how.
Now it is dependent upon the overall condition of course.
