Finally, somebody is taking charge. wowow
Finally! Taking steps that should have been taken long before today.
John,
It just dawned on me…you know that I intended no disrespect with the “can you do that” statement…correct?
I have to get to the convention next year. LOL
No problem, Harvey.
John,
You have tendered your resignation from this organization and have no authority. This is what you cannot stand.
As to the alleged e-mail from Nick, I’d ask you to please post it here. I just got off the telephone with him, and he suggested I challenge you to produce it, and post it.
As to what you have been advised, Deanna informed me of the existence of the recordings, as did Nick. Though I have never actually listened to them, I was, in fact, informed of portions of their content.
The recordings are not illegal. No way in hell are they illegal. And, you fail to fess-up.
I hereby suspend your remaining time as ED, for possible violations of the COE. Such suspension will remain in place until such time that the Committee can review all relevent data pertaining to the actions of yourself, and others.
There, we’re even.
Cool! You can’t suspend me, I suspended you first! Not it! No give backs!
I hereby suspend everyone by the authority vested in my by the State of Mild Inebriation and as Deputy Mayor of Margaritaville I order that everyone be shot…no wait…that’s have a shot…ah, hell.
This is all so 3rd-grade-playground-kids-playing-army. I love it!!!
 Members,
I have forwarded the email to concerned parties. They will post it for me. Thank you for bearing with us.
Hopefully we’ll get to the bottom of this illegal taping. I have been informed by three individuals that it is in fact illegal in the State of Florida.
One individual attached with the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
One Florida Lawyer
One member of the Florida Attorney General’s Office.
John B.
First of all Nick, I am insulted by your pretend transcript. Even if I ate Pork Chops I would be insulted. I guess to some people an overweight person is an easy target. So sure pick on me, I often joke at my own expense. But enough is enough, when you target me out for such a blatant insult over a serious matter.
Since we all know that one was Fake Nick, why don’t you step up to the place for once and post the real thing. But we know you won’t do that.
“Mr. Kirkland you are out of order!”
“You’re out of order! You’re out of order! The whole trial is out of order!”
- Arthur Kirkland “And Justice for All”.
So is Joe Farsetta Pacino or the Judge?
I think that all off our secret meetings were held in the hallway of the Island Building, for those of us that actually attended the convention. That was the building behind the main building. I never knew that a few people gathered aorund a table having a drink complaining was a secret meeting. I also gather that freedom of speech doesn’t allow for any negative talk at NACHI.
Anybody ever watch the movie Emma? Here’s the quote/sound byte:
“I hate John…I love John”
Wait! Don’t nobody say anything till I get back. Ive got to run out to the garage reefer and get a cold Yuengling. Hell, I might need to get the ice chest. Im taking tomorrow off cause I just found out it’s Flag Day in Mexico and its been a long productive week.
Here is the e-mail that Bowman was talking about:

I’ll be posting this on the bb. Out of respect for you and the membership, I am letting you read it first. Sorry it’s so long.

Dear members and staff,
Â
On May 7th, 2006 I will have proudly served you as Executive Director for one year. It is my decision to resign from that position effectively on that date. It has been an extreme pleasure serving you and only desire continued success for the membership and association. My decision to resign has not been easy. But the lack of communication and cooperation was the final determining factor.
Â
I applaud each of you that have graciously volunteered your time and expertise to the association and its membership and look forward to hearing and reading great things in the future about each one of you.  Â
Â
In conclusion I must point-out  particularly bothersome things that I strongly feel that NACHI needs to improve on in the future.Â
Â
<LI class=MsoNormal style=“tab-stops: list .5in”>I find it a total dictatorship situation when one person/group authors the Standards of Practice and ethics guidelines, and is then assigned the duties as Judge, Jury, and Executioner. <LI class=MsoNormal style=“tab-stops: list .5in”>Lack of communication amongst the staff and leadership.  Too often I ran into a situation where several individuals or groups were working on the same things. A good example of this would be the CMI program. At one point and time I believe there were at the very least 3 or 4 individuals and groups working on this. It’s an absolute shame and travesty that this program did not remain under the control of NACHI. Â
- No set procedures or guidelines for the committees. To the best of my knowledge the only committees that have any type of guidelines are the Awards Committee and the NACHI Library.  The current education committee is trying to establish guidelines, but is meeting resistance and dictatorship from the leadership. I only wish them well in their endeavors.
Â
Thank-you members and staff for your support.

I know it wasn’t Will.
I personaly saw him smoke a casette tape while trying to press record on his cigarette pack. All this while guzzeling a “Big Gulp”![]()
No seriously, Those clay pots with the crushed gravel were big enough to conceal recording equipment… hmmm… cigarette butts… I think not… more like tiny microphones. Damn… I knew I shoulda stayed smoke free…
Joe;
Point of order.
John’s resignation is not effective until May 7th.
Seems he has the authority.
Not that I am taking sides, just pointing out previously posted things.
Personally, I just wish that people would say what the mean and mean what the say and, for Gosh Sakes, quit posting this stuff on the public board section.
It does no one any good to post it publicly, unless they have ulterior motives.
I would ask everyone to note that this discussion was moved to the member’s only area, and by who, but was brought back to the public arena by someone else.
That says volumes.
It truely breaks my heart to see such petty squabbling, especilly in a public forum, between so many people who I so deeply respect and have learned so much from.
Rest assured, I will not learn from the example they have displayed here, in public.
Hope this helps.
OK - Am I the only one who sees that many of these confrontations could be avoided by better planning and formal (written) organizational development?
Do we have to keep losing good people and great volunteers (and leaders) because someone oversteps boundaries that are vauge (or dont actually exist at all in any written format)?
Of course people will still fight - so does Congress - but at the end of the day there are Robert’s Rules of Orders and formal structures and processes to follow that take the personal feelings out of it and make it a matter of following policy.
Here are the outtakes from the alleged tapes!
Harvey Gordon opines…
Blaine says…
Gary Johnson asks…
John Bowman as he leaves the room…
More flatulence, credits, fade to black.
I will now destroy these tapes so that they do not get into the wrong hands. You know what, never mind… These are the tapes from the first convention, my bad, not this years convention. ![]()
Outstanding, Joe B!
Thats a good one Joe
