Excerpt of transcript of secret taping of Gary Johnson at Convention.

That’s some funny stuff!! LMAOROTFFrofl.gif

The only post which made any sense…

Same chickensh*t happened last year at about the same time after the convention. Major pissing contest over what someone did or said or thought and a lot of panties were in a knot with resignations. When finally pressed, after weeks of having to read a gazillion half assed cryptic messages on every frigging thread the only and feeblest explanation was…the Florida Inspectors got in for free. Good Grief!!

True Doug, but it’s more than just that though, I think.

These little personal battles are fought out on the BB about every 3 months or so it seems. And, in the end, they end with people challenging the authority of leadership, and create a general atmospere of uneasiness.

In the end, it leaves the impression that there is no power structure or process to handle these battles. Which is, I think, also true.

All I am saying is that we could do a hell of a lot worse than to have some formal structure, rules and processes. A clear chain of command. Clearly defined goals. Limitations and jurisdictions of Committees. Posted procedures and transparancy in leadership.

Not really radical ideas. Just not ones that we seem (as an organization) to have the will to adopt or create.

Just like Chicago politics.

Everyone claiming to be in charge and the real boss and, oh, so connected.

Interesting that people who have been placed in charge of something are so easily overridden by some poser who claims to be in charge and gets everyone else to respond to his BS.

You guys who know me know (I would hope) that I speak truth or I don’t speak. Not to blow my own horn, but I have also produced. And done so for free (receiving no money or favors). I am not great or even good, just a poor shlub who wants to serve others and, in kind, pay back for what I have received, when in need.

As such, I would ask that:

  1. This in-fighting be confined to the Member’s only section of the board.

  2. That conjecture and unsubstanciated accusations be ignored. Likewise with bluster.

  3. That those who are in positions of authority be listened to and respected.

  4. Judge people based upon the fruits that have produced. If they are right, they usually produce results. If they are ‘just talking’, they usually produce only squat.

  5. Don’t finally decide until all the facts are in and have been verified.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations to NACHI’s Executive Director, Mr. John Bowman

There appears to be some very serious matters at issue here, which require the attention of the Executive Staff.

The mere fact of any Member of this organization knowingly betraying the trust of their fellow Members, is cause enough for investigation.

Additionally, adding insult to injury, having any person in authority to post knowledge of these acts and suggest this as being proper protocol is both irresponsible, and damaging to NACHI.

Mr. Bowman, you make all the NACHI membership proud… NACHI Leadership.

Taking note that my name appears on the list of those who attended a meeting, rest assured…totally innocent. Well, innocent of these acts anyway.

The meeting in which I attended was business like and informative. two Chapters, with attending officers, discussing our Chapter operations, an exchange of ideas, presided over by Mr. Bowman.

In a past life, being an undercover Police Officer ( Detective ) for the County of Cook, in the State of Illinois, trained to be observant, I believe I would have noticed any recording devices being worn by those in attendance.

Now that’s not to say I looked into Will’s Big Gulp cup. but I don’t believe the contents of the cup and recording devices would be very tasty.

So rest assured, no one in our meeting is the culprit.

Besides, I don’t think we fit the James Bond profile, at least not any more.

Come on Russ. Don’t sell yourself so short.

Myers. Russ Myers.

Malox, shaken, not stirred.

Will!
Really too much!
ROTFLMAO!

For those of you who will be indignant over Will’s comments about Russ, RELAX!

Russ DOES have a sense of humor. (Even if it is a little grey and wrinkled!)

Sorry Russ, couldn’t resist!

To clarify.

I have nothing but respect and admiration for Russ. I have learned a great dealfrom him and hope that I can be half the hme inspector that he already is.

One great character trait is the ability to laugh at one’s self. Makes life a whole heck of a lot stress free.

Russ taught me this. And, G-d only knows, there is a great deal to laugh at in myself. Russ also taught me that.
