Floirda Home Inspector Council

I’m not saying that i disagree with you, I’m just saying we might be better discussing this in a members only forum. Don’t assume that I have blindly left my fate in the hands of the Organization. I joined NACHI for the education and the shared info on the Message Board. I had no preconceived notion of them fighting for my rights. In any business, the owner looks out for his own best interest first — how can you fault Nick for that. Having said that, I do see your valid points that as members we may deserve or demand more service - I think that should be the issue, not that Nick has managed to be successful. Personally, I would’nt want the founder of my organization to be filing bankruptcy, it just wouldn’t taste right.

Russell wildly insinuates something about Zoe again:

Kind of smart if you ask me. I don’t see a problem.

Russell incorrectly predicts:

Russell, read the following from the DBPR:

Nick…my God ty for proving me more right than ever. You got this on September 17th and this is the first I heard or saw of it. IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A COPY OF THE SOP. Which to me means that a draft is available and maybe YOU have seen it. Which keeps me in the loop how? You just proved you keep this information and do not disseminate it…LMAO…are you trying to make a point or prove mine right?

I have a copy of the draft and am not permitted to release it publicly and the DBPR explained why to me:

Again, the DBPR will be giving you an opportunity to make comments and those comments will be considered.

Sure…they will. Once again Nick your interest is INACHI…Mine is the HOME INSPECTOR…they are NOT one in the same. You failed before and I do not see a difference in the future. You have more members than ALL others combined and still cannot get stuff done…by your own admission…so lets just say I don’t want to count on you to make the touchdown…

Nick I know I am in the wrong thread to post this, but the topic is right.

You are always telling us NJ inspectors about the Nachi class that has been accepted by the NJ HIAC for credit. I used to reply with a statement saying something like " NJ only allows 25% of their bi-annual license CEUs to be from online classes, so big deal". You would always respond by telling me to write a letter or something like that. Who am I to do that? I am one person. Nachi as an organization should be flipping over desks in their offices because their members cannot take advantage of the available education.
I just don’t see that happening.

I’ve contacted NJ many times. They will not raise your 25% because they say they don’t notice any groundswell demand from the inspectors they regulate. They admit that they are “complaint driven.”

LMAO…see ole St. Nick…You tell me not to worry…sorry pal…the past actions speak for themselves as well as your past record for not getting stuff DONE for home inspectors…

Russell’s point is driven home! It is enough work promoting my own business, now I have to promote Nachi education?

The last time I checked, there were only 134 members in NJ. There may be more, but that is the last stat. I saw. If Nachi online ed. was useful toward a CEU, maybe #'s would increase. It’s not my job to promote that, I am just a member.

Russell writes:

Russell, I have you pegged. The gist of most of your posts include complaints about how easy it is to get a license in Florida. I see what you are up to, you got your license and now you don’t want InterNACHI helping your fellow members (competitors) to get theirs. I’m on to you.

Some members consider InterNACHI’s efforts to get them grandfathered and licensed smoothly to be us scoring a “touchdown” for those members. It is clear that you see it as a “touchdown” for your competitors. So be it.

We have 2 strong InterNACHI chapters in NJ that meet every month like clockwork and that offer state-approved education. I suspect that is why there is no groundswell demand (that the state is looking for) that the 25% be raised. I’m fine with that.

Thats not it at all Nick…Nice try. I have no problem with competent competition. Its the poor craftsman that you turn out for the sake of a buck. I get premium prices and feel that WE ALL should get premium prices. But to obtain this, what we do must be viewed as a profession. I mean a profession. Not a 3 attempts in one day to get a license.

So you have me pegged for nothing, except wanting the way I make a good living to be considered a PROFESSIONAL way. I could care less if competent people come. I can’t do them all…Nor do I want to. Nice try Nicky…but thats a no go…if you were to see my thread that I posted about two weeks ago, it was about promoting NACHI…then you came up with this AAA school scam which was totally unprofessional and a way to increase you member Numbers without regard to who you letting into the profession. It is a disservice tot he public, the clients and to the people who have crafted their PROFESSION AND treat it as such…Nice try St. Nick…Hows Pa Radon going for ya?

Thanks any way.
Sorry to interrupt Russell.

See YOUR fine with that…what about the MEMBERS? Do you even care? Did you even ask any of them?..I would probably say no…why? Because YOUR fine with that…so I guess if its OK with Nick then screw the 10,000 members of NACHI…its OK with Nick.

P.s. I have NO problem with INSPECTORS getting a license my problem is with people who have never completed an inspection for you to facilitate their ease of a “certification” which makes them elible to get a license…as I have stated ALL ALONG…

Russ,

Bill is right, this is a public forum. You should continue this on Saturday and offer solutions and ideas afterward.

Our requirements to join Florida InterNACHI (which includes being a member of InterNACHI and all that entails) exceeds YOUR state’s requirements for grandfathering by a whole lot.

YOUR local legislators wrote the law, not me, InterNACHI, or the DBPR.

My job is to get my guys their licenses.

Is this where you tell me that you have more members then all the other organizations combines and still can get items passed. And you expect me to think your going to represent me. NOT!

I don’t represent just you and what you want “passed.”

trust me Nick you have made it crystal clear you represent NICK and no other…Hey learning about 501 © 6 is some interesting stuff…Should read it sometime…
