John I was thinking we should do this the day AFTER the Fla insurance meeting. Seems like the same people are going to your that want to go to the one proposed. Sound good? If you cant call me 239-225-8525 to discuss…seems like those wanting to be involved want to be all in…so lets make it easy for them, especially on the first meeting…
Has the Fl insurance meeting been set? If so, where and when?
Ditto Richard
I see John has it set for late October, exact date is not known.
hells yeah!
I talked with John S out of Melbourne and he is having an insurance meeting. We talked and thought why don’t we combine the two for now. Many of the thoughts John had were getting duplicated in my thoughts.
So here is what John and I talked about and propose. Meeting 2 days in Melbourne. John will get us the place.
Taking place will be talks/classes about Wind Mits and how to organaize better so when the state needs inspection, wind mitigation, 4 point information we are the organization to at least call to the table. Try and find different avenues of income.
get ideas together and place them on this thread and then we can combine them to talk about at the end of october.
The question we had is do people prefer Saturday, Sunday meetings or Friday/Saturday so they drive home Sunday?
The meetings will rotate with different people playing “Host”. John S has taken the first one and we will meeet and go from there…
Anything else?
Back in May the Florida Home Inspector Council (FHIC) which was formed, which included all inspection organizations. Zoe and Dennis werer there representing INACHI. This council was set up to give home inspectors one unified voice with the OIR, legislative process, and insurance process. Can anyone give me an update on this?
Count me in for the meeting.
Just say when and where.
Not only can we get on a “list”, We can become the Premier Vendor in this state!
Dennis,
That sounds great.
Sorry I am late getting in on the blog but I am definitly interested…keep me posted. Thanks
You guys are all awesome- I think you have finally grasped what I have been nagging about for years - but gee - I’m just a girl!!
Local Chapters or even Chapters that focus on specific ancillary inspections are VITAL.
Did I say VITAL!!!
They get you guys together, you learn from the targeted education subject of the meeting, then you share by discussing mutual business and client issues, then you share solutions between yourselves to very common and more importantly - possible new issues not yet affecting the mass…
Which gives everyone in your region a heads up and a step up on the competition by developing mutual solutions.
You KNOW I have a passion for you guys!! I have personally met each one of you.
You are the heart of a true Home Inspector.
You CARE about your client, You WANT education, and YOU strive to be the best Inspector you can be.
I am so blessed to be associated with guys like you.
Thank you for looking to the NOW and for looking to the Future…
Zoe
Thank YOU Zoe
I second that!! - Thank YOU Zoe - Charlene and I are sending prayers to you and Dennis!!
Definitly interested!
