I have a great deal of appreciation for Mark and his contributions here and I have no interest in a pissin’ match with him.

Everyone that responded to this thread have all said the same thing…”show me the report”. He has the report. It’s either going to support his belief that the inspector didn’t “do his job” or it won’t.

That is exactly what every inspector on this MB should have said also!!

What a bunch of friggin’ HYPOCRITES!!
IMO, Mark has more personal and business ETHICS than most posting in this thread!!

Someone with ethics wouldn’t have posted the name of the inspector, the address of the home inspected, and make unproven accusations about what the inspector in question did or didn’t do without offering any proof whatsoever.

I talked to Charley about 3 months ago and he was doing okay. Trying to get back on track after much loss.

Posting the report opens people to a liable suit. Conversely, Getting sued at this point in the game would make things worse for the inspector. That’s all I’m going to speak about this. I’ve known Mark a long time and confirm Mark would not speak just to hear his voice. All you shit talkers do not have a clue of this matter and should stop talking out of your backsides.

tyvm to the Nachi peeps who are real, who can SEE lol, who have a damn heart!!!

what is the deal with Nachi buy back? Anyone care to share. These people are devastated

It’s a program that the HI offers through InterNACHI that will literally buy the house back if he misses something. I told you from the beginning to make sure the buyer contacts the HI because there is a limited time to do this.

Buy-Back Program Legal Terms - InterNACHI®)

Here’s the catch…”1. The Program does not apply to homes that had material defects or issues that were disclosed by the seller or that the inspector reported in the inspection report. If the inspector caught it, he/she didn’t actually “miss” it..

That inspection report and sales disclosures will be deciding factors.

Only applicable if the inspector participates in the program.

They/ he advertises the program, but does he actually pay to participate in the program?

Dunno, but if they/he doesn’t, might want to remove this from their/his site: (If the correct site)

"You’ll receive the most thorough home inspection ever,

or we’ll buy your home back!”

It’s hard to know who to trust in the home inspection industry; that’s why I offer an incredible, iron-clad Guarantee:

“You’ll receive the most thorough inspection ever, or we’ll buy your home back!”

Simply stated, if I miss anything on your inspection and it causes you trouble after purchase, just let me know and we’ll gladly pay full price and buy the house back. My guarantee is fully backed by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. You can read more about it at www.nachi.org/buy

I’m excited to provide you with a fantastic home inspection for an affordable price. You’ll receive a complete inspection along with some great advice on how to fix any issues that we find. Simply click here to book your appointment – you’ll be happy with the service and with your new home.

It is offered in the apparent report, also.

When Nick first announced this gimmick, that was how it was introduced. If he has not gone back and deleted them, his first posts on this message board promoted his new buy back thing as “No questions asked”. That is where the “guarantee” came in. Some have suggested, and Nick had agreed, that the word “guarantee” should be removed, particularly after a home inspector was sued because of it. That chaos quieted down and the word stayed. As time went on of course, the current litany of exclusions was added. I wonder if the inspector kept up with them.
