Report Hoes, I mean Report Host nonsense

Smart, IMHO.

There is only one thing worse than suing over how some inspectors described a leaking water tank.

And that is suing over how some inspector described a leaking water tank using a narrative that was rightfully the inspector’s to use.

So why doesn’t Internachi sue reporthost?

If the narratives really are an Internachi work product that RH is trying to copywrite and monetize then go after them. It may not stop the damage that’s been done to your members, but you can still pull a “Gromicko” on RH.

I’ve been driving at this question from the beginning. Most affected inspectors were snagged by a comment in the Internachi template, downloaded from Spectora.

Because he has no leg to stand on!

I’m not seeing Google Backup in my settings?

Give me grounds and I’ll file a suit tomorrow. Report Host hasn’t done anything to InterNACHI or you. And they wisely didn’t sue us. They sued Spectora. Your beef is with Spectora.

No. I asked members on social to send me the email Spectora sent them and maybe 5% mentioned InterNACHI.

So basically, a fight looking for a problem.
Spectora did what they did.
Why don’t you put all that energy towards something actually useful?

Go to “Settings” on your dashboard.

Scroll down to “System Integrations”

It is “actually useful” for me to try to find a way to stop Spectora from deleting members’ reports… obviously.

That’s because most inspectors have changed the name of the template they use. They may start with the Internachi one, and then add to and edit it. We change the name of our templates periodically when big updates are done.

Ryan posted the offending Standing Water comment that’s been flagged for so many. I didn’t know it was in our company templates, but it originally came from the Internachi template when starting with Spectora. That comment was still in the Internachi templates available from the Spectora free template library last I checked.

If that is your comment, then sue rh for using it and trying to make money off it through a process that hurts your members. The ship has sailed on the Spectora cluster f, but you can go after rh for stealing your material and put them down before they do this again to other inspectors.

They haven’t stolen anything from us. Claiming they authored some narrative about standing water isn’t grounds to file a lawsuit against Report Hoes. And Spectora isn’t doing any irreparable harm because they aren’t completely deleting anything. Irreparable harm is what I need to file an injunction. And on top of that, they haven’t actually done anything yet. And on top of that, I have yet to see the terms of use agreement between y’all and Spectora (likely because you are prohibited within the agreement from sharing it). Spectora may have reserved the right to delete everything of everyone’s if they want to. I don’t know. You know.

So RH took NACHI narratives that were free for everyone, claimed them and then sued Spectora?

Spectora settled and screwed NACHI members?

It’s no wonder why Nick wants in the fight. But using the same claimed narrative tactic against RH as they used against Spectora is a bit hypocritical and may hurt the industry.

Nick, I hope you find an angle.

Correct. And got some money out of Spectora, likely.

I have two good law firms trying to get me on the field. I wish they would have sued me.

Didn’t they just force some cc service down your throats?

Then some sloppy new software version rollout?

Now this?

What’s next, selling your customer data? Deal is probably already tabled.

Ughhh…

I think Spectora is already owned by a private equity group. Let them come here and deny.

Got it! Thank you kind sir!! What a PITA this whole exercise has been.

I appreciate being a member of internachi and have had very few issues with spectora. I am a member of internachi and have been much longer than being a user of spectora. It sounds like you( the founder would like to fight this) but keep finding reasons why your hands are tied. I would think that rather than calling people “man bun” and “weak”, you would want to protect us members and your fellow reporting software that helps to grow the businesses. This is an issue you were dragged into, not by your own accord. Together we remain stronger. We know who the true problem is, why not send it back to them? I am willing to help in any way possible as I am sure many others here are as well. This is only an issue for internachi and spectora because report house said it is, until it becomes an issue for all reporting software and members of other associations.

Correct.

I do. I’d like to do more. What more can I do? Maybe buy Porch while their stock crashed: Porch is probably within range for us to buy the company at this point That way we can have ISN and HIP.

Either that or we’ll have to build something in-house for our members.

Seems a little cherry picked. We all need to stand together, or they will get away with this. You already said this is not substantial. Lets get it corrected.
